I started learning Spanish in middle school. My first trip to Spain was a European trip with a high school teacher, and then I returned to study a year abroad during college. After finishing my degree, I moved back to Spain and worked for Sol Melia Hotels and El Corte Ingles in International Sales. I lived in Spain for over 15 years.
While in Spain, I married and had a daughter, Claudia who is currently in 9th grade. We also adopted a black English Cocker (Tom) who is an important part of our family. Everyone in our family, including Tom speaks both Spanish and English. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends outdoors (especially at the beach), volunteering (Waukegan to College and Beacon Place), reading, cooking, and exploring the midwest. |
